New Video Update from David Cox: In-depth description of weld build-up repairs

David Cox provides an in-depth description of the many steps involved in performing the weld build-up repairs in the NRU reactor vessel including the high degree of difficulty in training for and performing of each individual weld repair remotely, with AECL  welders using cameras as their only guide.  Once the weld repair is complete, three different sets of inspections are required, followed by laser profiling of the weld site to determine the quality of the weld and stability of the NRU reactor vessel.  Mr. Cox explains the risks AECL is managing in conducting the repairs, but maintains his confidence in light of the major milestone announced last week:  the successful weld of the first repair site.
