The following information bulletin is in accordance with Atomic Energy of Canada Limited's (AECL) ongoing commitment to voluntary public disclosure of events related to the Chalk River Laboratories (CRL).
AECL reports that the NRU reactor resumed steady operation this afternoon after it was temporarily taken out of service on Monday, August 30th to repair the temperature controls for a moderator heat exchanger. Isotope production was not impacted by this short unscheduled outage.
